The best laid plans of mice and men....

A fellow blogger commented on how I must be dry because I am only posting videos... Truth is I kinda am.

Remember my list of to-do's from a week or so back? Well, not going so good. I ripped all the wallpaper out of the bathroom to discover that we needed to replace the window now. Ron and I decided that we really should replace the countertop now before the new paper goes up and long story short...we are replacing the entire vanity. Don't worry girls...my super deal of a dad came through and we got a $600 vanity for $0.00. He got a great deal (under $100) and wouldn't let us pay for it. Shucks...
We had a piece of countertop already, but we did have to buy two new sinks. This was supposed to be just replacing the wallpaper and now...ARGH! I know it will be nice when we are finished but we are heading into the busy season with Ron's job and I really have no idea when we will actually have the new wallpaper up.

Ron and Eli leave tomorrow for 2 days of fishing so I think I am going to try to paint Eli's bathroom since I am kind of waiting on Ron for the next step in my bathroom. I bought the paint months ago and just have not done it yet. I would also like to bake a batch of cookies from this new reciepe I found. Oh yeah, and make sure that my four other kids are being well cared for...I let you know if any of this actually gets done.

It will be nice when it is done...whenever that may be.

A new recipe??? Let us know how they turn out. If they are good you should share the recipe.

Happy Painting.

Just think how boring it would be to live in a really nice brand new house... OK, I know I am not being a very good friend.... Sorry.

I remember that kind of remodeling plans....one little fix turns into a house replacement! Or at least that's what it seems like sometimes. :)

I hope I'll be able to see it when it's done.

I love how those home improvement projects have the "domino effect," LOL. I bet it will look great when it's finished! Be sure and post pictures!

And for sure post pics of the cookies... ;)

Sounds like it will all be so nice when you're done!!! I know we've changed a few minor things in the house, Dick made a wonderful frame and put my vinyl letters of a Bible verse on it!! It looks wonderful, but then we had to paint the CD bird house to match and we had to get a new clock for the other wall. Like someone else said, domino effect. But even little changes like that make me feel good sometimes. Have fun with your projects. Even if you don't get far, I know the kids are well cared for ;)

Hi, Jill!
I just fessed up to Carol that I've been lurking in her blog so I'll need to make the same confession to you. "I've been lurking in your blog." I so enjoy it! I'm Kim's (Tricia's sister) friend. I'm meeting so many new people through the blogging world. It's great! One of your recently received comments was that wouldn't it be great to live in a new house but I'll tell you this...we're in a brand new house (okay, two years this past weekend) and there is LOTS to do. We're slowly making our way around the house with landscaping. We started the front yard last summer and will hopefully finish phase two this weekend. The first phase of the back yard will have to wait until next summer. So...new or old, keeping up the home God gives us is a huge task! I've added you to my list of favorite bloggers. Enjoy your day!
