Hey Jill, I am so glad that you posted this, and after getting to know you this past year it was almost like Joshua Harris was “plagiarizing” your heart. But, the truth is, that it is straight from the heart of God. I know that you have made the right choice for you and your family regarding home schooling and I have no doubt of that. When I have talked to you about public school options for Grace, I have never felt anything but absolute support from you. Even more wonderful than that, you have shown genuine love and encouragement for both my daughter and I. I feel confident that God will lead me in the right direction when it comes to choosing a school for Grace. Grace and I are so blessed to have a friend like you on our “team” to cheer and encourage. Thank You.
That was so, so good. Thanks for sharing! I completely agree with everything he had to say. So true about everyone being from the same camp...the saved by grace camp!
Great clip, Jill! I very much appreciate the words of Joshua Harris. As a public school teacher there have been times that I felt that some think I work for the enemy...or a second rate system. He is so right, we are all in this together. We should honor, support and encourage one another in the God lead choices we make for our children.
Amen sister! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Thank you for the support you've always given me in this area. I love everything he said, and it would be my dream too that we(the church) would support each other and pray for each other's children's education, regardless of what form it takes. We all want the same thing: godly young men and women serving the Lord. I covet your prayers for my kids, especially as they get older that they will stay strong, take stands when they need to, and be salt and light everywhere they go. And I appreciate people like Beth and Shana who are willing to work in public school. We soooo need christian teachers there, and I am thankful for them so much.
I think too, that this "Saved By Grace Camp" mentality could overflow into soooo many areas. We as Christian Brothers and Sisters, need to build eachother up and pray for one another in ALL areas...
WOW! I love Josh harris. I love his honesty...his courage to speak from the pulpit about real things that affect the day to day life of believers who are committed to live lives that honor God in every aspect of this life. There is NOT enough of that going on in our churches...my opinion. What a blessing that God put that video into your line-of-sight so that you could share with us. God is good...all the time.
