Sorry, I couldn't resist. ;o)
I'm reconnected! Although I am sure you have not been wondering where I have been...I have been disconnected. Our internet and telephone services were disconnected due to old wiring in this old house. It took the service provider one whole week to get to it. Grrr.
So, what did I do with my extra time?
*My house is spotless.
*I did a lot of reading. I finished Practicing Hospitality and continued in my reading of Respectable Sins, and the Uncommon Woman . They are all great books that I would recommend.
*I got my lesson plans done.
*Did some baking.
It was a very quiet week around here. No phone ringing, no internet noise. I did realize how much time I waste or use up on the computer though. Ten minutes here, 5 minutes there, 30 minutes here, takes up more time than I care to admit. I need to keep that in check. It was nice to see some bloggers that have not blogged for a while have a post to read...so I am off.

So, is your house still spotless??? ;)
Yeah, I find myself on the computer too much sometimes, and then I feel bad because while I enjoy it, it really doesn't accomplish too much. It is nice to have though.
So glad you are back in bloggy world and your phone is back up. I would much rather your house be a mess then miss out on connecting with ya! ;)
Found you through the Mercy Me blog! Just finished reading Practicing Hospitality- loved it, and it really opened my eyes to what hospitality REALLY should be. New Year's Resolutions are coming up and mine is to be more hospitable to even those I don't really know.
So...what does a spotless house look like? I, too, find myself on my computer way more than necessary. I can only imagine how difficult it would be for my family to be without the internet for a week. However, I can't help but think it would be a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with the "non-cyberspace" world. The phone...I could certainly do without that! Glad you're back!
You were definitely missed here in the blog world. No phone or internet?!?! That would make for a quiet week at my house too. I'm glad you got a lot done, but I'm glad you are back to the blog as well.
God can literally use anything in our lives for the good...even no internet! Bet your kiddos suffered more than you.
